MEDITATION SAMPLERS

This work in this series starts with me focusing on a particular moment in time, and the emotions I attach to it. It’s my desire to make that emotion ‘visual’. I start with stitch sketches to pull out the forms and shapes, which I then layer and merge in the final works. Using paper and shades of white thread give the work a ethereal quality. Color brings it’s own particular connotation and perception. Stripping that off creates a pure representation of these emotions.
